Dr Anthony Clavo, MD, RPh
Dr Clavo has been treating Chronic Pain patients for the last 7 years in the metro Atlanta area after completing a residency in Acute and Chronic Pain Management at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas followed by additional specialized training as a Fellow at the renown Roosevelt Multidisciplinary Pain Management Center at the University of Washington in Seattle. This specialized training sets Dr Clavo apart from those “practicing” pain management . Prior to fulfilling his residency and fellowship commitments Dr Clavo attended Meharry Medical College shortly after receiving a BS degree in Pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana in his hometown of New Orleans, LA.
Dr Clavo specializes in Acute and Chronic Pain with special interest in Spinal Pathology (herniated disk, sciatica etc) in addition to treating patients with other states of pain including Cancer Pain, Intractable Headaches and Sports related Pain Syndromes. Dr Clavo utilizes some of the most up to date non surgical techniques in the management of his patients. In addition, state of the art diagnostics and implementation of Physical Therapy and Psychological Interventions are utilized in completion of his Multidisciplinary approach to Pain Management. In his spare time, Dr Clavo can often be found at the local playgrounds coaching Little League or Soccer, participating in a “pick-up” game, playing golf , current events or taking trip to the beach with his wife Lynn and kids Delaney and Anthony, Jr. |
